What's Happening at the Senior Centers in July
The County's three center facilities are places where senior adults can meet, receive services, and participate in activities that will affirm their dignity and self worth. Within this atmosphere, the centers create opportunities for senior adults to apply their wisdom, insight, and exercise their skills.

Special Events In July
Thursday, July 1, 2010 - 10:30 a.m. - Water Aerobics is starting back up at Wedgewood Lakes Community Pool and being held from 10:30-11:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Friday, July 2, 2010 - 1:30 p.m. - Line dancing for Beginners only. This 5 week class will be held from 1:30 till 3:00 pm. The cost is $15.00 per person and we must have 10 seniors to sign up. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - 11:30 a.m - Guest Speaker - Growing Fresh in Currituck with Tommy Grandy. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 - 12:30 p.m. - Birthday Celebration - There will be cake and ice cream. Friday, July 16, 2010 - 10:30 a.m. - Shopping and lunch at Greenbrier Mall. We will leave at 10:30. Lunch on your own. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 - 11:00 a.m. - Trip to Colonial Downs for an Inside Track Tour. The cost is $25.00. You will eat at the track on your own. We will stop for lunch on the way. Leaving center at 11:00. Tuesday's in July - 1:00 p.m. - Mahjong Wednesday's in July - 10:45 a.m. - Tai Chi exercise on Mondays and Wednesdays. Thursday's, in July - 10:30 a.m. until Noon - Free Blood Pressure check, no appointment necessary. Knotts Island Senior Center

Wednesday, July 7 - 1:00 p.m. - Birthday Celebration Thursday, July 8 - 10:30 a.m. - Trip to the Farmer's Market in Virginia Beach and lunch at Bubba's Bar-B-Que and Deli Tuesday, July 13 - 1:00 p.m. - History Meeting Wednesday, July 14 - 1:00 P.M. - Movie Day - this months movie is "The Illusionist" Thursday, July 15 - 10:00 a.m. - Tea Party Tuesday, July 20 - 10:00 a.m. - During Quilting Debbie Rogers will come and show how to take any kind of fiber and making yarn out of it on a spinning wheel. Tuesday, July 20 - 12:00 p.m. - Pot Luck
