What's Happening at the Senior Centers in January
The County's three center facilities are places where senior adults can meet, receive services, and participate in activities that will affirm their dignity and self worth. Within this atmosphere, the centers create opportunities for senior adults to apply their wisdom, insight, and exercise their skills. The senior center is not an adult daycare facility. **Please Note that the Currituck Senior Center will be moving to a new location this month. Due to moving; hours of operation will vary during this transition. Special Events In January
Tuesday, January 17 - 8:00 a.m. - New Senior Center located at 130 Community Way, Barco NC 27917 will open!
Thursday, January 19 - TRIP - Movie & Lunch. Time & Movie TBA. Cost is $3.00 Transportation, $6.50 Ticket and money for lunch. Monday, January 23 - 12:30 p.m. - We will be having a movie and popcorn here at the Senior Center. Movie TBA. Wednesday, January 25 - 11:00 a.m. - We will be having a Cake Walk here at the Senior Center. Don't miss your chance to win a cake that you might have not had before. Don't forget to bring a Cake!
Thursday, January 26 - 10:30 a.m. TRIP - We will be shopping at Greenbrier Mall. Cost is $3.00 Transportation & Money for lunch.

Special Events In January
Wednesday, January 4 - 12:30 p.m. - Birthday Celebration Monday, January 9 - 1:15 p.m. - We will start making quilted place mats. We will continue to do work on these for the rest of the month on Mondays. Thursday, January 12 - 10:30 a.m. - TRIP - We will be having lunch at Golden Corral. Cost is $3.00 Transportation and money for lunch.  Tuesday, January 24 - We will be having our Pot Luck lunch! Please remember to bring a covered dish. We will also be watching the 4th installment of "Anne of Avonlea."
Tuesday's in January - 11:00 a.m. - Every Tuesday we have two EMS from the Knotts Island Fire Department to come in from 11:00 to 12:00 to check it for us. Monday's in January - 10:15 a.m. - Sit Down & Tone Up exercise.
