EMS Recognized for Achieving Model System Status

Currituck County Emergency Medical Services received much-deserved recognition during the Feb. 16 Board of Commissioners meeting for the department's achieving Model System status.

Representatives from the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services were on hand to present the official certificate. Board of Commissioners Chairman Owen Etheridge accepted the certificate on behalf of Currituck County, along with the remaining Commissioners, EMS Chief Michael Carter, and EMS officers and staff members.

This designation is the result of many months of effort by EMS, and will help bring a higher level of emergency medical services to the residents of Currituck County. More
