The Currituck County Center of NC Cooperative Extension is offering a seminar on Native Plants in the Landscape on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.. This seminar is free and open to the public.

Native plants in the home landscape can reduce demands on the gardener's time, energy & wallet. Native landscaping reduces impacts on the environment and enhances wildlife habitat. Understanding the natural plant communities in your neighborhood will help you make the right plant selections for your own garden. Natives can be included in traditional landscape designs, and are essential for informal natural landscaping.
