Dune Vegetation Cost-Share Program
The county recognizes the importance of dune nourishment and vegetation.  In an effort to encourage property owners to protect existing dunes; the county is administering a program in which eligible participants may be reimbursed 50% of the cost of beach grass.  For more information please view the application package.

Large Residential Structures - Planning Staff was tasked by the Board of Commissioners to conduct a review of large residential structures to assess possible compatibility and public safety impacts.  Staff has conducted public meetings on this topic and the presentation from the January 8, 2016 meeting and additional survey results are available below.

Wayfinding Signage
The county recently installed a comprehensive wayfinding signage package for the paved road area of the Corolla Outer Banks.  The sign package directs vistors and residents to destinations along NC12, as well as conveys general information to the public.  The signage is strategically placed along NC12 and will maintain a consistent look and feel.

Corolla Village Circulation and Wayfinding Plan was adopted on May 5, 2014.

Moyock Small Area Plan was adopted on April 21, 2014.

Connecting Corolla was adopted on October 21, 2013.
