In the past, members of the family or community affected by a traumatic event have inquired about resources and assistance needed for those impacted. Currituck County recognizes that in previous situations, there had not been a single focused point to gather specific information, provide contacts, references and available resources for the victims and general public.  

FEMA - family lost everything
Samaritan's Corner was established to assist and provide this information. 

Please check out Samaritan's Corner to see how you can help the victim of the house fire that occurred in the Wedgewood Lakes section of Currituck on the Wednesday, July 16, 2014. While some of the structure still remains all the occupants belongings were lost due to fire, water, steam, and smoke.

The Fire & EMS Advisory Board meeting for Thursday, September 25 has been cancelled.    

The Planning Board will meet on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse. 

The Board of Commissioners next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Historic Currituck Courthouse on Monday, October 6, 2014.
