Learn How To Save $10 On Your Next Water Bill

more news...

Currituck County residents who qualify can save $10 on their next water bill by participating as a sampling site for the county's lead and copper testing program.

Any home that was built during the time period of January 1, 1983 to December 31, 1985 and has copper pipes is considered a Tier 1 site, for which this sampling is targeted. It is to the homeowner's benefit to have the water tested. The county provides treatment to the water supply to prevent leeching of lead and copper from customer plumbing, and the testing ensures the effectiveness of the treatment.

Testing is free of charge and will only require a few minutes of your time. The program is on a first come - first served basis, with a limit of 60 sampling sites.

To participate or receive more information, contact Dennis Curtis, Currituck County Water Department, at 232-6060.
