Ribbon Cutting Planned for Moyock Library

Please join Currituck County in celebrating the opening of the Moyock Library with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Moyock Library is the third branch of the Currituck County Public Library, which has facilities in Barco and Corolla.

It will feature existing programs offered by the library system, as well as special exhibit space maintained by the Currituck Arts Council.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will offer tours of the facility and remarks from Currituck County officials.

The Moyock Library is located at 126 Campus Drive, which is off Tulls Creek Road. For directions or additional information, contact the Currituck County Library at 453-8345.

Welcome Center to Host Open House

The public is invited to an Open House at the Currituck County Welcome Center in Moyock on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

This special event will include tours of the recent expansion, which consists of a warehouse, additional restroom facilities, and a picnic pavilion area. The public can also see on display the Calvin Outlaw Safe that was created from remnants of the original Currituck County Jail and donated to the County by James Butz of Grandy.

Light refreshments will be served.
