Administrative/Training Division

Chief

IMG_02071.JPGChief Robert Glover, department head for Currituck County Fire-EMS.,  oversees the Administration, Training and Operation Divisions. This includes 113 full time, temporary and volunteer personnel.  

Chief Glover is charged with the department's budget, strategic business plan, SOP/SOG's and is the County Liason to the six (6) Volunteer Fire Departments. He also, serves as a member of the Fire and EMS Advisory Board and the County Safety Committee.

Deputy Chief
 

The Deputy Chief  serves as the second in command of the Department. He assists the Chief and Medical Director in implementing the strategic  plan and vision for the department. The Deputy Chief oversees all aspects of operations and assists the Shift Captains with planning, personnel issues and day-to-day oversite.

Training Officer

IMG_0180.JPGCaptain Teresa Wheeler is in charge of the training division for the Department of Fire-EMS. She oversees approximately 113 of our volunteer, temporary and full time personnel’s’ training files and the continuing education program.

Additionally, she oversees Currituck's OEMS approved  Advanced Education Institution (AEI). This status will allow for more "in house" instruction while still coordinating with other training institutions and our local colleges.

In addition to training, Captain Wheeler assists the Medical Director(s) Captain Johnson and the Chiefs with Peer Review/Quality Management and serves  as the Privacy Officer. Captain Wheeler is also the department's primary designated infection control officer.

Mrs. Tonya Crawford serves as the Secretary for the department. She oversees all processing, reporting and billing information. She assists the Chief, Deputy Chief, and Captains with daily administrative duties and record keeping.

Dr. Roger Gallant, MD is our systems Medical Director. He is charged with the oversight of all Medical protocols, priviledge to practice and medical direction for the County's Emergency Medical Services.

 He also serves as the Chair of the Peer Review/Quality Management Committee.


Assistant Medical Director

Krissi  Williams, PAC is our systems Assistant Medical Director. Krissi is a certified Physician's Assistant and a North Carolina Paramedic. She serves as the assistant medical director and as the Vice Chair on the Peer Review/Quality Management Committee.
