Planning and Community Development Boards

The Planning Board provides solution oriented services to the community through the application of professional planning skills, adopted plans, and standards which facilitate the growth of the local economy and enhance the quality of life and preserve the natural environment for current and future generations.

The Planning Board consists of nine (9) members who are appointed by the Board of Commissioners.

The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body responsible for hearing and deciding conditional use permit applications, appeals, variance requests, and interpretations of zoning regulations. 

The Board of Adjustment consists of seven (7) members, including five (5) regular and two (2) alternates, who are appointed by the Board of Commissioners.
