Currituck Sheriff's Office Specialized UnitsThe Sheriffs office has several divisions that officers work in. Some of the divisions are "Specialized Units" that have higher levels of training in there fields. Such as: "The Sheriff's Special Response Team"
These officers have received extensive training in the execution of high risk search warrants and the use of special weapons and tactics to effectively take suspects into custody and protect citizens from unnecessary danger. SRT Members Walker Davidson Matusko Koch Brinkley Beickert Twiford
"The Sheriff's Bike Patrol Unit" These officers have under gone additional training in specialized bike patrol tactics including Specialized suspect tack-downs with the bike and Tactical dismounts.
