Applying By Mail To apply for an absentee ballot by mail, send a written request to: Currituck County Board of Elections P.O. Box 177 Currituck, NC 27929 Include the following information:
You may submit your request No Later than the Tuesday prior to the Election Day. The request can be made by the voter, a near relative or verifiable legal guardian. Upon receipt of your request, you will be sent an absentee ballot, an application on a container-return envelope, and instructions for completing the ballot.

Mailed absentee ballots must be received in our office by 5:00 p.m. the day before the election or if postmarked by the day of the election, no later than 3 days after the election.
